The Program Committee represents a diverse and energetic group of public health professionals in New York City. The events and activities that the committee plans are both responsive to PHANYC’s mission and the interests and needs of our membership.

Past 2011-2012 Events Include

• A “Public Health Hot Topics” series focusing on topics like disaster preparedness and the relationship between public health and the media
• An interactive event that included a presentation and cooking demonstration that taught participants about strategies for making healthier choices about food while eating out and cooking at home
• A Public Health Career Forum featuring several esteemed speakers from a wide range of backgrounds
• Networking opportunities
• Community partnership development
