MAY 12, 2005: Forum On Sexual and Reproductive Health
Reproductive and sexual health is inexplicably linked to an individual's overall well-being, as well as the "health" of the society within which individuals live. Poor reproductive and sexual health is frequently associated with disease, abuse, exploitation, unwanted pregnancy, and death. Because reproductive health is a key component of general health, it is a prerequisite for social, economic and human development.
Our city has a strong public health tradition of advocacy and reform in reproductive and sexual health. To strengthen these efforts, PHANYC invites you to attend a forum, organized through its Agenda for a Healthy New York that is designed to develop specific policy proposals to protect and improve the reproductive and sexual health of NYC inhabitants. Funding for PHANYC's Agenda for a Healthy New York was made possible by a grant from The New York Community Trust.
